Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates (CSEA) are appointed as Lead Consultant for the preliminary design and Part 8 Planning of a section of the proposed River Dodder Greenway Cycle and Pedestrian Green Route within the administrative area of South Dublin County Council.
The route along the River Dodder identified for this project is between the Firhouse Road entrance to the Park and Orwell Park covering circa 7.0km of shared surface, pedestrian facilities, cycle facilities and bridge crossings over the River Dodder. A close liaison with the other Local Authorities associated with the Greenway Scheme, Dublin City Council and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Councils, was required in order to ensure a consistency in design through the entire scheme.
As part of the design CSEA were requested to bring a number of major junctions in line with current National Cycle Manual which included traffic analyses and potential lane adjustments.
As lead designers CSEA liaised with and procured Landscape Designers, Ecological Assessors, Topographical Surveyors and Traffic Surveyors.
