The project involved the conservation and refurbishment of the existing Proby House residence and the provision of 5 new four storey blocks of student accommodation all linked by a central hallway.

A structural condition survey of Proby House, a protected structure, was undertaken and strengthening works, applying principles of minimal intervention, were undertaken to wall, floors and roof. A feature of the conservation work undertaken was the removal of sand cement render and it’s replacement with coloured lime render
