The Heritage Centre is 2000 m² and is designed to be sustainable, modern and functional but sympathetic to the historic fabric of the cemetery.
As part of the of the new Glasnevin Cemetery Heritage Centre development the existing listed Gate Lodge was restored.
The project involved the demolition of an extension constructed in the 1960’s on the Eastern gable and the complete restoration of the lodge internally. The Gate Lodge houses the main reception offices for the cemetery.
