This project involved the demolition of an existing 1970's office block (8000m2) and the construction of a new modern, purpose built office development comprising 18,960m2 of accommodation over 5 upper and 1 lower basement levels.
This also included for 4000m2 of parking, changing, locker and plant, 95 parking spaces, 190 bicycle spaces.
The proposed basement was a proposed secant piled wall with in-situ reinforced concrete structure. The design of this element was critical allowing maximum site coverage for the basement level accounting for adjacent structures and the protected tress on Burlington Road.
The upper floor were proposed as a 9m steel grid with a composite metal deck floor slab to allow maximum flexibility for prospective tenants and minimising the number of internal columns.
