Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates (CSEA) were appointed by Fingal County Council to prepare a Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) strategy as part of the development of a local area plan for 240 hectares of lands at Cherryhound in North County Dublin.
The strategy identifies the appropriate SUDS measures which may be implemented as in the development of the lands in order to
- Protect water quality in receiving watercourses and groundwater
- Protect the LAP lands and the catchment area downstream from flooding
- Enhance the area by the use of the water infrastructure for amenity.
CSEA provided a detailed report setting out the strategy and identifying the types of SUDS infrastructure which is appropriate for the differing types of land use envisaged within the LAP area.
