Balbriggan Outer Relief Road

The road scheme provides for 2.5km of 10.5m wide single carriageway and approximately 1.4km of 9m wide industrial access roads.

The Outer Relief Road links the R132 (Dublin Road) to the R122 (Naul Road).

The main structure on the scheme is a 9m span pin arch culvert on the Matt River.

Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates (CSEA) provided full service from preliminary design to completion of construction inclusive of Part 8 planning, land acquisition, detail design, tender and contract administration.

Significant archaeological works were undertaken on Phase 5 and CSEA liaised directly with the Department of the Environment directly on behalf of the client to mitigate any adverse effects of the archeological.

Services include 300mm water main, surface water pipes up to 900mm diameter, ESB ducting for 110kV and medium voltage cabling and telecommunications ducting.
