Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates were appointed as Consulting Engineers by the Design and Build contractor, Richard Nolan Civil Engineering, for the above project.
The project consisted of the replacement of the existing deck and parapets on an existing bridge over a local access road in Dun-Laoghaire Rathdown County Council's administrative area. The existing deck consisted of reinforced concrete on steel girders. The existing piers were retained to minimise work within the Glencullen river.
The proposed works consisted of the installation of precast concrete bridge beams on the retained piers and the construction of new granite clad parapets.
Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates were responsible for the Principal and Special inspection of the bridge for the Contractor and the Technical Acceptance application to the National Roads Authority.
